DESCRIPTION
Mecatriel’s
ribbon distributor is a system created to apply ribbons during manufacturing
of cardboard on the corrugator.
Ribbon
rolls are installed on cars that move on linear rolls. The movement of
the car is ensured by servo-motors for maximum precision of position.
Ribbon tension is kept constant in relation to the speed of the cardboard
with the help of a mechanical system using a counter weight and a brake.
The ribbon is transported to an applicator controlled by a pneumatic cylinder
(see next page). When required, the applicator lifts allowing the operator
to thread the ribbon around the rollers.

Here we can see under the machine where the ribbon is applied. Pneumatic cylinders control these ribbons. When the operator, positioned on the bridge of the machine, wants to thread the ribbon; he only has to operate the cylinders to have the applicator at hand. Also, for maintenance operations cylinders can be operated to get them out of the way. |
