PICK AND PLACEDESCRIPTIONMécatriel’s pick and place device is a system made to transport sheets using suction cups. A motor is used to move the cart horizontally. An timing belt allowing a smoother movement ensures transmission. Also, bumpers are installed at both extremities of the run. Linear rails to limit friction ensure the movement. Linear rails also ensure vertical movement. Pneumatic cylinders ensure the movement, one with a brake in case of failure of the pneumatic system. In order to prevent a failure of the suction cups used to transport the sheets, security arms on pivots slide under the cups after the lift.
